Instagram Data

Clout Check reads follower and following data available in the Instagram tab you choose to scan. The extension keeps that data, CSV exports, and scan results in Chrome local storage on your device. It does not send Instagram follower lists, following lists, usernames from exports, CSV files, or scan results to our servers.

Data Stored Locally

The extension stores scan snapshots, license status, and a random install ID in Chrome local storage on your device.

License and Billing Data

The extension sends its random install ID and version to the Clout Check license service only to create and verify a Pro license. Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe retains payment and billing records under its own privacy policy. To activate Pro, the license record held with Stripe contains the random install ID, license status, time of activation, checkout-session reference, and, for a website purchase, a one-time redemption code. Clout Check does not receive or store card numbers.

Limited Use

Clout Check uses browser and Instagram data only to provide the follower/following comparison and CSV export requested by the user. We do not sell that data, use it for advertising, or allow people to review it except with your explicit consent or when required for security or law.
